Karuizawa Technology Center Receives Highest CASBEE Certification

MinebeaMitsumi Inc. is pleased to announce that its Karuizawa Head Office Technology Center, originally opened in 2022 as an R&D base of the Karuizawa Plant, has been accredited with the highest rank out of four in CASBEE Certification for Real Estate, a system that evaluates buildings’ environmental performance.

CASBEE Certification for Real Estate is a system that objectively certifies building as being environmentally conscious at a high standard, using a comprehensive assessment tool to evaluate their overall environmental performance. At this facility, the certification was achieved with a high rating by successfully balancing a pleasant working environment with the reduction of environmental impact. In particular, this recognition was awarded for the adoption of natural ventilation, the installation of highly energy-efficient equipment, and the proactive use of recycled materials.
