New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) is a specialized manufacturer of precision bearings and customized solutions for the aircraft, defense, dental, medical, and other high tech. industrial markets. Its major product families include precision miniature and instrument ball bearings, large ball and roller bearings for aircraft engines and gearboxes, and rod end and spherical bearings, machined parts, and next-up assemblies for airframe and aero engine applications.

Believing that innovation is essential to satisfying customer needs, NHBB, through its New Product Development Center (NPDC), conducts product development and testing in support of customers in the aerospace market.

In the United States, NHBB operates three manufacturing facilities and employs over 1,500 workers. The quality assurance programs in each facility are endorsed by numerous customer and industry certifications, including ISO 9001, AS9100, Boeing D6-82479, and Nadcap, and their environmental management systems are certified to ISO 14001.

NHBB was founded in Peterborough, NH in 1946 and acquired by MinebeaMitsumi in 1985. The company owns CEROBEAR GmbH, a ceramic bearing manufacturer based in Herzogenrath, Germany and is affiliated with the MinebeaMitsumi Group subsidiary myonic GmbH, a precision bearing manufacturer based in Leutkirch, Germany. Together, NHBB, myonic and CEROBEAR comprise the NHBB/myonic Business Unit within the MinebeaMitsumi Group of Companies.

myonic GmbH is a highly technical manufacturer of precision bearings and engineered solutions for the dental, medical, aerospace, automotive, machine tool and other global industrial markets. Its major product families include dental bearings and assemblies, X-ray tube bearings, turntable bearings, and precision ball bearings for turbo chargers and other challenging industrial applications.

myonic operates a production facility at its headquarters in Leutkirch, Germany, and a second site in Roznov, Czech Republic. Both facilities are certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. myonic also owns and operates APB myonic GmbH, a trading company located in Ebensee, Austria that supplies bearing products to the rolling mills, gear boxes and general machinery industries.

CEROBEAR GmbH is a specialized manufacturer of high performance hybrid and all-ceramic bearings as well as customized solutions for the aerospace, race car, fluid machinery, machine tool, food and beverage machinery, and semiconductor manufacturing markets.

Its major product families include hybrid and all-ceramic ball and roller bearings as well as needle and thin section bearings made from advanced ceramics and steels.

CEROBEAR’s core capabilities include the design of long-life bearings, fast and flexible high-precision manufacturing of ultra-hard steel rings and ceramic components, as well as a continuous drive for improvement and innovation in design, materials, and manufacturing. These capabilities – together with a short delivery schedule – make CEROBEAR an excellent development partner.

The company was founded in 1989 as a spin-off from the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany. CEROBEAR is located in Herzogenrath, Germany, where it employs more than one hundred workers within two adjacent facilities totaling 50,750 sq. ft. and which are certified to EN 9100, DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN ISO 14001, and BS OHSAS 18001.

Acquired by NHBB in 2013, CEROBEAR is now a part of MinebeaMitsumi’s NHBB/myonic Business Unit and operates as an independent subsidiary directly under NHBB.
