This series incorporates a hybrid stepping motor with a non-excited electromagnetic brake. Typically, motors can rotate under external force even when powered off. However, by mounting an electromagnetic brake at the rear of the motor shaft, unwanted movement on vertical axes is prevented, and the detent torque is enhanced when the motor is stationary. Additionally, the integrated design of the motor and brake helps minimize installation space requirements. The brake operates on a separate DC24V power supply, independent of the motor’s power source.
