MinebeaMitsumi Opens New Building at Lop Buri Plant in Thailand

On June 12, 2026, MinebeaMitsumi Inc. held a completion ceremony and commenced operations of a new building (hereinafter “Building 11”), which had been under construction at the Lop Buri Plant of NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd. This expansion aims to strengthen MinebeaMitsumi’s production system to meet growing demand in the aerospace industry.

Since established operations in Thailand in 1982 and starting the manufacture of ball bearings, MinebeaMitsumi has continuously expanded its investments in the country. Thailand has become a key manufacturing hub for the Group, which now operates 11 manufacturing and R&D bases across the country (5 plants in Ayutthaya, 1 in Lop Buri, 1 in Pathum Thani, 3 in Chonburi, and 1 in Rayong) and employs approximately 31,000 people.

The newly operational Building 11 at the Lop Buri Plant is equipped with high-quality, high-precision manufacturing machinery and production process automation systems. This ensures compliance with aircraft manufacturers’ strict standards while maximizing production efficiency. In response to robust demand from aircraft manufacturers driven by the global recovery of the aviation industry, this facility will serve as a hub that delivers both cost competitiveness and high-quality production, driving the growth and further enhancing the competitiveness of the MinebeaMitsumi Group’s machined components business.

The completion ceremony held today was attended by prominent guests, including Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), and Mr. Werapong Rithrod, Governor of Lop Buri Province, alongside other government officials and business partners. Katsuhiko Yoshida, Director, President, COO & CFO of MinebeaMitsumi, delivered an address at the event.

Objectives of the New Building

  • To increase production capacity for standard products (rod end & spherical bearings), for which demand is expected to grow further in the future.
  • To establish integrated production lines for fasteners (fastening components), swaged tubes (formed tubes), and machinable liners (new type of liners).
