OIS Actuator for Smartphone Camera

optical image stabilization

Today’s smartphones can capture stunning images thanks to miniaturized camera technology that significantly increases pixel count and enables powerful image stabilization. To achieve accurate focus and reduce blur, the camera lens needs to be able to compensate for erroneous movement in real time. Smartphone cameras use gyro sensors to measure external forces such as hand movements. In response to the sensor output, micro-actuators can perform minor adjustments to the lens position in order to create a clear image.
